Restoring the Common Area Outdoor Furniture

The refurbishment covered the complete outdoor furniture setting.

CSA cleaned the timber furniture before sanding the surfaces to prepare them for refinishing. The table, chairs and coffee table were then re-varnished, refreshing the appearance of the timber and addressing the staining and visible wear that had developed through use.

With 14 chairs as well as the large table and coffee table included in the scope, the project involved refurbishing the entire existing setting so the pieces presented consistently when returned to the common area.

The completed work significantly refreshed the furniture, taking a setting that had been looking tired and well worn and giving it a renewed appearance.

Replacing Chair Leg Caps to Protect the Timber Floors

The work also included replacing the leg caps on the chairs.

This was a small but practical addition to the refurbishment. The new caps provide an extra layer of protection between the chair legs and the timber flooring beneath them, helping reduce direct contact as chairs are moved during everyday use.

Including the leg caps as part of the work meant the project addressed both the condition of the furniture itself and its interaction with the surrounding common area.

A Practical Refurbishment Rather Than Replacement

The Botanical Apartments project is an example of how targeted refurbishment can extend the usefulness and improve the appearance of existing property assets.

Rather than replacing a substantial outdoor furniture setting, CSA Property cleaned, sanded and re-varnished the existing timber pieces and replaced the chair leg caps where required.

The finished result gave the common area furniture a considerably refreshed appearance while retaining the existing table, chairs and coffee table.
