Full Male and Female Toilet Refurbishment
The male and female toilets were stripped back and refurbished with new fixtures and finishes throughout.
The scope included removing the existing toilets and basins and replacing them with new units. New cabinetry and plumbing fixtures were also installed as part of the refurbishment.
The finishes were updated with new tiling and painting, while the lighting was upgraded with LED downlights. New dispensers were also installed to complete the updated amenities.
This allowed the project to address the main elements of the facilities together rather than replacing individual fixtures within bathrooms that were already more than four decades old.
Refurbishment of the Unisex Shower Facility
CSA also completed a full refurbishment of the building’s unisex shower facility.
The existing finishes and fixtures were removed, with the scope including new waterproofing and tiling as part of the rebuild. The shower area was repainted and fitted with new shower fixtures and cabinetry.
New LED lighting was also installed, bringing the lighting within the shower facility in line with the wider amenities refurbishment.
Waterproofing was an important part of this scope because the project involved renewing a wet area rather than carrying out a cosmetic update alone.
Modernising Ageing Building Amenities
With the existing toilets and shower facilities more than 40 years old, the project provided an opportunity to comprehensively modernise the amenities rather than continue updating individual components over time.
Across the male and female toilets and the unisex shower, CSA Property coordinated replacement plumbing fixtures, cabinetry, waterproofing, tiling, painting, lighting and dispensers.
The Fulton Hogan / MLV project demonstrates the type of coordinated refurbishment work CSA Property can manage where multiple trades and building elements need to come together within a single project scope.
