Replacement of the External Gutter System
The existing gutter system had deteriorated significantly, with rust and damage present across the shopping centre.
CSA replaced approximately 150 metres of external guttering with new Colorbond gutters. The scale of the work meant the project addressed the external gutter system across the site rather than isolated sections of damage.
Replacing the deteriorated guttering removed ageing and heavily rusted components and updated this part of the centre’s external building infrastructure with new materials.
35 New Colorbond Downpipes
The project also included replacement of 35 external downpipes.
The existing downpipes formed part of the ageing roof drainage system and were replaced with new Colorbond downpipes alongside the gutter works.
Completing the gutters and downpipes within the same scope allowed CSA Property to address the connected external drainage components together rather than treating individual damaged sections separately.
Skylight Diffuser and Flyscreen Replacement
In addition to the gutter and downpipe works, CSA replaced damaged and worn components across four external skylights.
The existing skylight diffusers and protective flyscreens were removed and replaced with new units.
Including the skylight work within the project addressed another area of deterioration in the building exterior while the broader roof-related works were being completed.
Updating Ageing External Building Components
The Lakelands Shopping Centre project involved substantial replacement works across an older commercial property where rust and deterioration had affected multiple external components.
Across the project, CSA Property replaced approximately 150 metres of guttering, 35 external downpipes and the damaged diffusers and protective flyscreens across four skylights.
The new Colorbond guttering and downpipes also gave these areas of the centre a cleaner, more modern appearance while replacing materials that had become extensively rusted and damaged.
